We are getting close to the half-way point of the novel, The Westing Game. Who do you think is the most interesting character so far and tell WHY?
First, each student will post their initial comment, and then we will begin to make comments on each other's initial post. You must respond politely and with kindness, yet you must give something to the student beyond "Nice job!" When you read back through your comments you should be able to gain more insight into the character you have chosen. Your responses might include clues that you have written down in your notes, your thoughts about this character that may or may not coincide with another student.
Please note if a student has not received comments, please post to those with less, not more, comments. Everyone needs feedback. Do not tell someone that they have misspelled a word or used grammar incorrectly. You are not the teacher. You are having an online discussion. Remember the rules of "Accountable Talk."
Expectations include correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation to the best of your abilities. Don't "guess" spell if you can open the book or your notes and spell correctly.
Wow! your teacher with some amazing discussions.
